This is a "somewhat" free social event for members of Racquetball Ontario. There is a fee to enter the YMCA for non members and the cost of a meal, should you wish to join us at a local restaurant (TBD) after the games are done.
While this is a doubles event, you won't be signing up with a partner or for a specific division. Players will be teamed up with a new partner every game that they play.
This is open to all ages and skill levels, so long as you or your child is able to compete with adult players
I will limit the number of entries to 24, with a waiting list enabled.
Games are to 15 (server point, first to post)
In order to keep things moving, we will be randomly split into different pools with a max of 8 players for each phase. At the end of each phase, we will shuffle the pools to start a new phase. We will play a few phases and end when we have no more energy to play or the YMCA kicks us out.
First games will start at 9am. If you are next on court, be ready to go on as soon as the players come off.
My hope is to test out a new system I created to run this style event. So, please bring some extra patience, just in case it completely fails on me.
